Who I am as a therapist

My passion is helping people discover their strengths in order to overcome the obstacles preventing them from living the lives they desire.

Every single one of us has a unique life story and history of experiences. My approach to therapy is to begin the process by building a foundation of trust. I am committed to learning about you, what makes you unique, and what challenges have led to you exploring therapy. I work to create a supportive environment that will allow you to talk about and explore complex, difficult issues in a space free of judgment and shame. My style as a therapist is flexible and I tailor my approach to meet the needs of each client.

Many of my clients are “creatives” – people who engage with the world in a creative and exploratory way. Creativity comes in many forms – web design, marketing concepts, visual art, music, textile work, dance, podcasting, photography, yoga, culinary arts, creative writing, filmmaking, journalism…the list could go on forever. I utilize my clinical training in art therapy to help my clients understand and express themselves in the way that feels best to them.

If you are reading this and thinking, “That’s nice, but I don’t have a creative bone in my body!” Let me ask you – Does your job require you to solve problems? Do you enjoy teaching people about things? Do you play sports? Do you keep a journal? – If you answered yes - then you are creative!

As your therapist, I will help you identify and utilize the strengths you already have in order to work through whatever issue has made you click on this page today.

Who I am outside the office

I am an artist and have a voracious love of learning. I listen to podcasts, watch documentaries, take online courses, and listen to audiobooks every chance I get. My hobbies include gardening, swimming, scuba diving, cooking, and hosting dinner parties. Being able to head out into the forest and camp with friends is the highlight of my summers.

Throughout my life, I have lived in Los Angeles, New York City, and then moved to Seattle several years ago. The Pacific Northwest has been a perfect fit for my personality, hobbies, and growing my therapy practice. I am honored to be able to contribute to this wonderful region by helping its residents become the best versions of themselves.
